OFFICIAL NOTICE

Universal Golf Foundation Charity Golf Tournament

Dear Sponsors, Golfers, Partners, and Friends,

On behalf of Las Caras de México and the Golf Committee, we would like to formally inform you that, after careful consideration, the Golf Committee has made the decision to cancel this year’s Universal Golf Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, originally scheduled for October 16th and 17th, 2026, at Las Caras de México Golf Course in San Felipe, Baja California. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we were unable to secure the number of sponsors necessary to properly support and conduct the tournament at the level required for this important charitable event.

This tournament holds a very special importance for our community, as its purpose is to support educational scholarships for children from low-income families in San Felipe, Baja California. Through the Universal Golf Foundation, the event provides an opportunity to contribute to the education and future of local children who benefit from these scholarship programs.

The decision to cancel this year’s event was not made lightly. The Golf Committee believes that postponing the tournament will allow us additional time to strengthen sponsorship support and ensure that we can return with an event capable of generating the necessary resources to continue supporting these important educational scholarships. Our intention is to reschedule the tournament for next year, during the same month, October, at Las Caras de México Golf Course. Additional details regarding the 2027 tournament, registration, sponsorship opportunities, and event information will be communicated once finalized.

We sincerely appreciate the support and interest shown by our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, partners, and everyone who contributed to the planning of this year’s event. We especially appreciate those who were prepared to participate and support the scholarship program benefiting children in our local community. We apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

We look forward to working together toward a successful return of the Universal Golf Foundation Charity Golf Tournament next year and, most importantly, continuing our commitment to providing educational opportunities for children in need in San Felipe.

Sincerely,

Pat Butler
